Kubota in growth mode

Paul Williams, KubotaThe Kubota exhibit at Ag Connect Expo features a full line representation of products. Paul Williams, Senior Product Manager, Tractors and Implements, with Kubota Tractor Corporation, told Brownfield farmers buy Kubota because of the quality of the tractor.

The Midwest, including the “I” states like Illinois, Iowa and Indiana have been a sort of “last frontier” for Kubota because of the row crop geography, but Williams says this is now a growth area for the company. Until recent years, Kubota has targeted hay, dairy and forage markets. Kubota is moving into the row crop tractor market and Williams suggests we “stay tuned.”

In addition to its quality, Williams said many customers like Kubota because so much of the equipment is made in the U.S.

  • Looking forward to Kubotas move into row crop. I currently own a mid size loader tractor from Kubota that is fabulous. If Kubota does this right, they will put a serious hurt on the flailing AGCO as they continue with no direction, especially if the Kubota rumors are true.
