Farm bill is needed to maintain farmer/lender relationships
Minnesota Corn Growers President Tom Haag at Commodity Classic, Kissimmee, Fla., Feb. 27, 2013.
At the Commodity Classic almost who was asked, replied that they would like to see Congress pass a five-year farm bill. Minnesota Corn Growers President Tom Haag repeated that, but says the legislation is important to maintain relationships between farmers and their lenders. “With input costs and everything being more expensive, we also have to have a good rapport with our lenders,” Haag told Brownfield Ag News at the Classic. “Our lenders want to make sure they have an understanding with the farm bill.”
