Embracing the future of agriculture

Ankeny, Iowa farmer John Jensen says he’s still getting a handle on all of the technology being utilized in agriculture. Jensen says in a typical year it would be his boys attending the IDEAg Interconnectivity Conference – but because they were harvesting wheat he was able to attend.

He tells Brownfield even though the next generation may be more comfortable with all the new things in the industry, he keeps attending meetings like this so he can continue to learn about the new technologies that are changing the face of the industry. From drones to autonomous farming to guidance and GPS, Jensen says agriculture has come a long way since he started on the farm years ago.
