The author of the New York Times bestseller The Big Fat Surprise says red meat has been unfairly blamed for the increases in obesity, diabetes and heart disease among Americans.

In an exclusive interview with Brownfield, Nina Teicholz says recommendations to consume less red meat, such as those contained in the government’s dietary guidelines, are actually contributing to those epidemics.
