Big data can be scary.

But Brent Frederick, with Christensen Farms says it doesn’t have to be.  He says the information pork producers can collect from their operations can be used to their advantage, “One to predict the future and two to make the right decisions day in and day out.”

One specific area of focus is meat and pork quality and the cost associated with it.  “We can use the information to find out how to produce it most effectively from feed to labor and everything else,” he says.  “As we look our cost continue to rise on all of those fronts and we can use our information figure out how to do that in the best way going forward.”
