USDA report looks at changes to slaughter industry

There have been a significant number of changes to the U.S. livestock slaughter industry since 1990.

An overview published this week by the USDA detailed a number of those changes, including a 60% increase in U.S. pork production, a shrinking gap between red meat and poultry, and a 40% decline in the number of livestock slaughter establishments.
