U.S. ethanol production up on week

U.S. ethanol production last week jumped 23,000 barrels a day, the first week to week increase since late January.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.045 million barrels, the 20th week in a row the average has topped a million barrels a day.

Domestic demand is good and there’s plenty of corn available, cancelling out some of the concerns about Chinese demand and some uncertainty about Trump Administration policy towards renewable fuels.

U.S. ethanol stocks declined for the second week in a row, to 22.766 million barrels.
