Supporting local soldiers
Fill up your gas tank to support the National Guard. Jon Lantz, vice president of marketing for CountryMark says their Fueling Freedom event was started six years ago to give back to local National Guard Family Readiness programs. “For every gallon of gas we pump between Noon and 5pm on June 27th, 50 cents from every gallon will go to the local National Guard Family Readiness Program,” he says. “For every gallon of CountryMark Advantage lubricants we sell during that time period, $1 per gallon will go to the program.”
Lantz tells Brownfield local Guardsmen (and CountryMark representatives) will provide customers with a full-service fill-up giving customers opportunity to thank soldiers for their service. “Very seldom do we as common citizens have the opportunity to thank our military in an informal way and conversation for what they do to protect us,” he says. “This is one of those opportunities. When the customers come in they can have that chat with the Guardsmen.”
Fueling Freedom events will take place at 33 CountryMark fueling stations in Indiana and Ohio on Friday, June 27, 2014 from Noon until 5pm.
