Stepping outside your comfort zone with FFA

The newly elected Missouri State FFA President Andi Belt says she’s looking forward to helping the next generation of agriculture reach their full potential in the next year.

“Without a doubt, FFA has been the best part of my high school career and it left its mark on me,” she says. “When I started in the FFA, I was really shy and FFA has pushed me out of my comfort zone and there’s not an FFA contest I attend where I don’t know someone.”

Belt says the future is bright for Missouri agriculture.

“We have so many FFA members willing to step outside of their comfort zone, advocate for agriculture and that’s something we strive to do. There are 16 state FFA officers ready to get out into the classroom and work with members, preparing them to be the next generation.”

Brownfield interviewed Belt at the Missouri FFA Convention in mid-Missouri on Friday.

Others elected to the Missouri State FFA Officer team for 2024 – 2025 include: First Vice President Mikela Rojas from Linn County, Secretary Gavin Rhode from East Buchanan, Alexis Mullis from St. James, Amelia Hawkins from Ashland, Annabelle Carlisle from Senath-Hornersville, Braden Havlik from Silex, Carmen Wilburn from Van-Far, Emma Robinson from Republic, Gentrie Davis from Marshall, Jackson Rhine from Joplin, Kade Jenkins from Mt. Vernon, Kennedy Heil from Norborne, Langston Mitchell from Cassville, Madilynn Wehmeyer from Columbia and Matthew Lakey from Ava.
