Poe elected IN State Fair board president
The Indiana State Fair Board has elected Stan Poe as their new president. Poe is a Franklin, Ind. sheep producer and has served on the board since 2011 and has served the board as vice-president for the last three years. He succeeds Steve Simmerman as board president.
Other officers elected to the board: Paul Graf, Sellersburg, vice-president and Jackie Bell, Avilla, secretary. Carlos Garcia of Indianapolis was appointed to the board by the Governor’s office.
The Indiana State Fair Board is comprised of 17 members; seven elected, seven appointed, and 3 ex-officio who reside throughout Indiana’s seven agricultural districts. The board is responsible for conducting the annual Indiana State Fair under the policies and procedures established by the Indiana State Fair Commission.
I want to tell you about our experience at the cattle show Sunday at the f air.My husband who has RA bad asked to be parked in handicap area.The man at the gate told us there was no handicap parking that day and sent us across the road at the far end of the parking lot. Needless to say to see his grandchildren show he had to walk it. When we get to show ring there are handicap parking being filled.
