Ohio students receive “Ag is Cool” scholarships

Four Ohio elementary fifth grade students have received some cool scholarships from the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

The “Agriculture is Cool” scholarship program is awarded to students who submit the best essays or creative stories about the “Agriculture is Cool” educational program at the Ohio State Fair.

The winners of the scholarships are

Kieran Shaw of Columbus

Levi Barga of Versailles

Abigail Slack of Roseville

Avery Shoffner, Anna

Representatives from the Ohio State Fair, Ohio Department of Agriculture and Ohio Farm Bureau presented each student with a $500 check during a special assembly at their schools.
