Ohio fields get saturated

Wet soils from heavy rains last week are holding Ohio farmers back from most field activities.

The USDA says 15 percent of winter wheat is jointed and condition increased to 70 percent good to excellent.

Eleven percent of oats are now planted, falling behind last year and the five-year average.

Topsoil moisture in Ohio is 69 percent in surplus while 55 percent of subsoils have a surplus.
