NPPC elects new officers

Illinois pork producer Ken Maschhoff is the new president of the National Pork Producers Council (NPPC).

Maschhoff is chairman of Maschhoff Family Foods and co-owner and chairman of The Maschhoffs, the largest family-owned pork production company in North America.

Ohio producer Jim Heimerl is NPPC’s new president-elect. Heimerl and his family run three farrow-to-finish farms in Ohio and 80 contract finishing farms in several states.

David Herring of North Carolina takes over as NPPC vice president. He is vice president of a pork industry equipment company and is involved with his family’s farming operation.
