Missouri corn and soybeans doing well
Three quarters of Missouri’s corn crop is rated good to excellent. Soybean planting is nearly complete at 93 percent. Emergence is 86 percent – both advancing over last week. Seventy-percent of Missouri soybeans are in good to excellent shape. Temperatures exceeded normal four in nearly five out of seven days last week. Rain fall was just over a half inch on average. Winter wheat harvest in its first week was nearly 30 percent finished as of Sunday. Cotton squaring took a big jump last week and is now 36 percent complete. Pasture conditions are mostly fair to good in Missouri.
