Warm weather helped many Michigan farmers wrap up harvest activities this past week.

The Great Lakes Regional Ag Statistics office says 83 percent of the state’s corn crop was harvested for grain as of Sunday, right on pace with the five year average. Soybeans are 91 percent harvested, seven percent behind average.

Winter wheat was 96 percent planted and 90 percent emerged. Sugarbeets are 95 percent harvested, four percent behind average for the week.
