ITC allows investigation into imported biodiesel proceed

The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) has voted to have the investigation into biodiesel from Argentina and Indonesia continue.

The commission says there is “reasonable indication” that the U.S. biodiesel industry has been hurt by imports of biodiesel from those two countries that are “allegedly subsidized and sold in the United States at less than fair value.”

The commission says the Department of Commerce should have its preliminary countervailing duty determinations in mid-June and its preliminary antidumping duty determinations on or about August 30th of this year.
