Indiana farmer honored for advocacy in ag

Indiana farmer Jeremey Barron has been recognized by the American Farm Bureau Federation for his advocacy for agriculture.

Barron was one of 9 young farmers and ranchers from across the US who was chosen to participate in AFBF’s Partners in Advocacy Leadership program.  The program provides advanced training to the organization’s future leaders with the goal of developing powerful advocates for agriculture.

Barron says participating in the program was an important next step in his leadership journey.

Over the program’s 16 year history, it has had 80 participants, and only two have come from Indiana.

Barron and his wife Lindsay operate Barron Farms.  They are members of the INFB State Young Farmer Committee and were finalists in the 2016 INFB Young Farmer Excellence in Agriculture Award.
