GROWMARK introduces myFS Agronomy app

A new agronomic application is providing farmers with data-driven insights throughout the growing season.

Brendan Bachman, GROWMARK’s director of FS agronomy, says they’ve partnered with Intelinair to introduce the myFS Agronomy app.

“What we’re really trying to do is bring an easier, more simplistic, intuitive way for farmers to engage with our local FS crop specialists, as well as our agronomy information getting out to the farm gate in a timely way to help make better data-driven decisions,” he says.

He tells Brownfield the first phase of the app brings several streams of data together into the farmer’s hands.

“How do we get all the different data types that are out there from machinery information,”  he says, “to soil testing information, through remote sensing, imagery sensors, so on and so forth into one place, but then make it easy and intuitive to engage with?”

Bachman says the goal is to bring more profitability to their FS customers.

“To make a decision in near real time, if you’re talking about something from an in season component,” he says, “or in the postseason as you start to analyze all that data into, ‘What was the outcome of my decisions from this past cropping year?’ and get at ‘How do I manage my next crop better?’”

The myFS Agronomy platform is available through local FS cooperatives on mobile and web-based operating systems.
