Foundation push for Cornerstone Dairy Academy
Each year, the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin conduct the Cornerstone Dairy Academy. Described as an “elite development program for students and dairy professionals”, the two-day event is designed to enhance professionalism, communications and leadership skills. Attendees are selected through an application process. The program is open to interested producers in all states.
The Academy is underwritten by the Professional Dairy Producers Foundation which provides scholarships to help cover the cost of tuition. Foundation executive director Deb Reinhart says they are conducting an all-out effort to “build a nest egg” for the program. “We’d like to help PDPW grow that program, offer more tracts to more young people so we can grow tomorrow’s dairy producers.” The Foundation’s goal is to fund 240 students through all three tracts over the next three years.
Details and information about Cornerstone Dairy Academy are available here.
