Fordyce chosen to be Missouri Ag Director
Richard Fordyce, the Chairman of the Missouri State Soil & Water Districts Commission, has been chosen to be the new director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture by Governor Nixon. Fordyce and his wife grow soybeans and corn and raise beef cattle on their farm in Harrison County. He is a fourth generation farmer. Fordyce has held leadership positions with the Harrison County Farm Bureau, and has served on boards and commissions with the Missouri Farm Bureau and the American Farm Bureau Federation. He’s also been a leader on the National Biodiesel Board, the Missouri Soybean Merchandising Council and is one of only three directors from Missouri on the United Soybean Board.
