Farmland film documentary streaming on Hulu

US Farmers and Ranchers Alliance CEO Randy Krotz at the Farm Progress Show raising funds, Boone, Iowa, Aug. 26, 2014.Beginning Thursday, the documentary Farmland is available on Hulu and Hulu Plus movie streaming services.  The feature-length film can be streamed for four weeks on connected TVs, Blu-ray players, gaming consoles, laptops, tablets and mobile devices.

Earlier this year, Farmland was shown in more than 170 theaters across the country.  That’s a good run, but only the beginning, says Randy Krotz, the Chief Executive Officer for the U.S. Farmers and Ranchers Alliance.

“With any documentary, the real masses of eyes on the film doesn’t happen in a theater,” Krotz told Brownfield Ag News late in the summer, “it happens on digital distribution and other programs that you promote and release with the film.”

Farmland is a look into the lives of six young farmers and ranchers in their twenties, and was produced by Academy Award-winning filmmaker James Moll.
