Commodity Carnival returns for 2016 fair season

CCarnivalThe CME Group and the National 4-H Council are partnering again this summer to bring the Commodity Carnival, an interactive, educational fair experience to fairs across the Midwest.  The exhibit is designed to teach fair-goers the fundamentals of risk management in agriculture.  This year the experience added a new component, a mobile companion app called Risk Ranch, which allows access to the game beyond the fairgrounds.

Jennifer Sirangelo, president and CEO of the National 4-H Council says the Commodity Carnival and Risk Ranch are invaluable tools to teach youth key lessons on agriculture, business, and the economy.  She says the fair experience, combined with the mobile app is another way to reach today’s tech-savvy youth.

The Commodity Carnival will travel to nine states during the 2016 fair season.
