Calculator to help determine the best delivery option

The Executive Director of the Soy Transportation Coalition (STC) says a new online calculator is designed to help farmers choose their most profitable soybean delivery option.

“What this calculator does, it walks farmers through, in a very simple, straight forward manner the various costs they need to take into consideration,” said Mike Steenhoek. “And at the end of the day they are able to click the calculate button and they are able to see which option is more profitable, the local one, or the more distant one.”

He says the online tool can be used for soybeans, corn, wheat and other commodities.

It’s available here, or as an APP for both iPhone and Android devices.
