Bunge Milling expands line of non-GMO corn products

Bunge has expanded its non-GMO offerings and it is providing additional opportunities to farmers.

The company introduced its Non-GMO Project Verified milled corn ingredients and oils at the annual Institute of Food Technologists show.  Mark Starvo, senior director of marketing for North America says Bunge is the only major supplier to offer Non-GMO Project Verified corn ingredients on a scale that makes them easily accessible to major brands.

Bunge’s Crete, Nebraska facility is Non-GMO Project Verified and its Danville, Illinois facility, the world’s largest dry corn mill, is currently undergoing verification.  To support its expansion, the company has contracted with farmers for Non-GMO acres surrounding both facilities.

In addition to milled corn ingredients, Bunge also offers more limited supplies of Non-GMO Project Verified canola and soybean oils and is pursuing Non-GMO Project verification for its ancient grains, rice, gluten free breading, and puffed and expanded snacks.
