ASTA elects new leadership
The American Seed Trade Association has elected its new leadership. Mark Herrmann, president and CEO of AgReliant Genetics will serve as chair, Tracy Tally with Justin Seeds will serve as vice-chair, and Jerry Flint with DuPont Pioneer has been elected second vice-chair.
Herrmann says the seed industry faces unprecedented challenges and opportunities including regulatory uncertainty as well as international issues that impact the movement of seed. He says it is vitally important for the industry to provide a unified message to address the issues facing the seed industry in the future.
As chairman, Herrmann says he vows to continue ASTA’s commitment to be the voice of the American seed industry.
The new leadership team begins official duties on July 1.
Congrats Mark.
