Milk futures mixed, cash cheese steady

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly firm, squaring up for this week’s Global Dairy Trade event. May was down $.03 at $15.32, June was up $.01 at $15.48, July was $.04 higher at $16.02, and August was up $.05 at $16.44.

Cash cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.48. Barrels were steady at $1.4175. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.4175.

Butter was $.0125 lower at $2.0925. 22 loads were sold, including 12 at $2.0925 and nine at $2.095. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.0925. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.10.

Nonfat dry milk was down $.0076 at $.86. The last unfilled bid was on four loads at $.85. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.86.
