Milk futures lower, cash dairy higher

 

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were down on follow through selling and demand concerns. July was $.03 lower at $15.55, August was down $.24 at $16.24, September was $.22 lower at $16.54, and October was down $.20 at $16.80.

Cash cheese blocks were $.0025 higher at $1.555. Three loads were sold, including one at $1.555. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.555. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.5575. Barrels were up $.01 at $1.385. Eight loads were sold, including one at $1.385 and six and $1.3825. The last uncovered offer was for two loads at $1.385.

Butter was $.03 higher at $2.615. Eight loads were sold, including three at $2.615 and three at $2.6125. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.6075s. The last uncovered offer was for one load $2.615.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.005 at $.8725. Two loads were sold, one at $.8725 and one at $.87. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $.87. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.8725.
