Arctic apple – safe and nutritious

There’s a new kind of apple coming to grocery stores – the Arctic Apple. Conventional apples turn brown when cut or bumped because of an enzyme that triggers a chemical reaction.  The new, genetically modified Arctic apples have that enzyme silenced which means less browning without changing any other characteristics of the fruit.  Food writer Julie Kelly says she’s excited about eating Arctic apples and the Innate potato.
