Seed companies ramping up on Liberty Link soybeans
Many seed companies are ramping up their production of Liberty Link soybeans this summer. One of them is Stine Seed Company, where David Thompson is director of sales and marketing.
“The product performance of Ignite herbicide, coupled with the Liberty Link system and the genetics we have, makes a pretty unbeatable combination for growers,” Thompson says, “and again, it gives them another option for managing resistant weeds, or for mitigating the concern about weed resistance, which is a growing problem throughout a lot of the soybean-growing area.”
Stine will have 22 Liberty Link varieties in its soybean lineup for 2010. Liberty Link provides a broad-spectrum over-the-top alternative to glyphosate-resistant soybeans.
