Organized rains to persist across much of the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of below-normal temperatures from the Pacific Northwest to the northern Plains, while warmer-than-normal weather will cover much of California and areas along and east of a line from New Mexico to Wisconsin.

Meanwhile, near- or below-normal precipitation in California, the Great Basin, and the southern and eastern U.S. should contrast with wetter-than-normal conditions from the northern Pacific Coast to the northern and central Plains and upper Midwest.
