Brownfield Ag Weather Today

The threat of severe thunderstorms will continue to shift southward and will gradually diminish, although unsettled weather should linger into Sunday along and near the Gulf Coast.  Additional rainfall across the South could total 1 to 3 inches or more, mainly along an axis stretching from south-central Texas to Georgia.  Meanwhile, Southwestern snow should linger through the weekend, especially in Arizona and New Mexico.  Much of the remainder of the country will experience dry weather during the next 5 days, although a strong cold front crossing the Midwest and Northeast may spark some weekend rain and snow showers.  Cold air in the front’s wake will lead to hard freezes (28°F or below) early next week as far south as the central Plains and the Tennessee Valley, with frost possibly extending deep into Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi.
