Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Tropical moisture associated with two Eastern Pacific tropical cyclones (Lidia and Max) and a disturbance over the southern Gulf of Mexico will contribute to heavy rain across parts of the southern U.S.  The heaviest rain will gradually shift eastward, with event-total rainfall expected to reach 1 to 4 inches or more in southern Texas and from southeastern Louisiana to southern Georgia and northern Florida.  Meanwhile, a storm system moving inland across the Northwest will reach the central Plains by Thursday and the Great Lakes region by Saturday.  Five-day precipitation totals could reach 1 to 3 inches or more in the Pacific Northwest and from Wyoming to Michigan.  Late-week rainfall could total 1 to 2 inches in the mid-Atlantic and southern New England.  The remainder of the country, including an area stretching from central and southern California to the southern Plains, will remain dry during the next 5 days.
