Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Smoky, hazy conditions and air-quality reductions associated with Canadian wildfires will continue to affect portions of the East and Midwest for the next few days.  Late in the week, however, a subtle pattern change could result in much-needed rain in parts of the Midwest and Northeast, with 5-day totals locally reaching 1 to 2 inches in the southern and eastern Corn Belt.  Farther west, rain should return across portions of the Plains, with some of the highest totals (locally 1 to 3 inches) expected in Montana.  Elsewhere, unsettled, showery weather will prevail from northern California to the northern Rockies, while dry weather will cover the Desert Southwest.  During the weekend, triple-digit heat (temperatures of 100°F or higher) will arrive across parts of Texas, especially in the Rio Grande Valley.
