Brownfield Ag Weather Today

For the remainder of the week, disorganized showers will primarily affect areas between the Rockies and Mississippi Valley, with 5-day rainfall totals reaching 1 to 2 inches or more in some locations.  Some of the heaviest rain may fall in Montana and portions of neighboring states, as well as the southern High Plains.  Meanwhile, mostly dry weather will prevail in the Far West and Desert Southwest.  Another area of mostly dry weather will encompass the eastern one-third of the U.S., excluding northern New England and Florida’s peninsula.  In fact, rain could become heavy at times across southern Florida.  In the Midwest, the combination of unusual warmth (temperatures approaching, reaching, or exceeding 90°F) and dryness will further reduce moisture availability for summer crop development.
