Brownfield Ag Weather Today

A complex and powerful storm system emerging from the West will intensify later Monday and Tuesday across the central Plains, leading to a variety of weather hazards.  For the remainder of Monday, mountain snow will linger across the West, especially from southern California to the Rockies.  By Monday night, blizzard conditions will engulf portions of the High Plains, mainly across eastern Wyoming and western sections of Nebraska and South Dakota.  Wintry precipitation will shift into the upper Great Lakes region by mid-week before affecting the Northeast during the second half of the week.  Meanwhile, strong to locally severe thunderstorms may erupt later Monday across the central and southern Plains, with the primary focus for severe weather shifting to the Gulf Coast States on Tuesday and Wednesday.  In the storm’s wake, cold weather will dominate the country, with sub-zero temperatures expected from the Intermountain West to the northern Plains.
