Brownfield Ag Weather Today

Sponsored by Pivot Bio PROVEN

A storm system moving into the Midwest will reach the Great Lakes region by Wednesday night. Subsequently, the system will weaken while traversing eastern Canada. However, a low-pressure system moving along the storm’s trailing cold front will maintain unsettled, showery weather along the Atlantic Seaboard into Friday. The most immediate threat associated with the Midwestern storm system will be the threat of flash flooding and severe weather, mainly later today in the central Gulf Coast region, where thunderstorms could produce several inches of rain, along with high winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. In the storm’s wake, high winds and low humidity levels could lead to an elevated wildfire threat in drought-affected areas of the Plains – including western sections of Texas and Nebraska – where recent precipitation was minimal. Elsewhere, dry weather will prevail for the remainder of the week across much of the western half of the U.S., accompanied by the return (or continuation of) above-normal temperatures.
