Fast-moving storm sweeps snow into eastern, southern Wisconsin

A powerful and vigorous low pressure system passed from central Illinois to southern Michigan during Friday.

Snow begin over the southwest by mid-morning and spread eastward and northward into the afternoon. Snowfall rates were heavy at times given the wet and heavy nature of the snow.

General accumulations ranged from 3 to 6 inches with 5 to 8 inches being received in western Sheboygan and eastern Fond du Lac counties.
Heavy snows also fell in a band from just west of Milwaukee to the lakeshore areas in east-central Wisconsin.
