A hyper-active, moisture-laden pattern ahead, centered on most of the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for the likelihood of near- or above-normal temperatures throughout the central and eastern U.S., while colder-than-normal conditions will be confined to areas west of the Rockies.

Meanwhile, near- or above-normal precipitation nearly nationwide should contrast with drier-than-normal weather in the Southeast and along the Gulf Coast.
