Record attendance at Nat’l FFA Convention

The 83rd National FFA Convention ended Saturday, October 23, with the organization setting an all-time attendance record of 54,942 and how fitting that a new record be established at Dr. Larry Case’s 26th and final convention as the National FFA Advisor.

Dr. Case, who’s retiring at the end of the year, addressed the Convention’s final session on Saturday, assured FFA members they are in good hands.

“As you know Agricultural Education has been my life, and will continue to have a special place in my life,” said Dr. Case. “I want you to know though that I believe that nationally we have as strong of leadership team as we’ve ever had.”

But it was his final words that brought the house down.

“I believe in you, I’m proud of you and I expect the very best from you,” said the retiring National FFA Advisor. “It is from my heart and it is not going to change, I shall never, ever forget you.”
