Michigan Corn reflects on Commodity Classic

Tom Durand with the Michigan Corn Growers Association says this year’s Corn Congress at Commodity Classic spent a lot of time cleaning up the organization’s policy book. He says corn growers support maintaining current conservation reserve program acres.  Durand says while the North American Free Trade Agreement has benefited growers, if it is rewritten farmers want a seat at the table.

He says while the farm economy is challenging, the comradery between growers during Commodity Classic is helpful for lifting spirits.
