Meet the Pork Industry scholarship winners

The Pork Checkoff has scholarships available for juniors and seniors in college who plan to pursue a career in a swine related field or will attend veterinary or graduate school and major in a discipline with an emphasis on swine.

One of this year’s winners, Eden Lambert of Iowa, didn’t grow up in the swine industry.  But began showing swine in 4-H and her passion for the industry was sparked from there.

Caleb Grohmann of Illinois has had a passion for pigs his entire life.  He says that drive to be successful in the swine industry has led to opportunities to grow as a young adult and professionally.  His advice to the next generation considering an occupation in the swine industry – get as much experience as you can.
