ADM’s Second Crop™ is ramping up
The Second Crop™ project that provides a way to make corn stover more palatable and nutritious for cattle is ramping up to meet demand. John Klein, ADM’s Corn Replacement Feed Product Manager, explained the process to Brownfield’s Julie Harker at the Farm Progress Show near Decatur, Illinois, ADM’s back yard. Klein says feedlot studies show their “second crop” feed can replace 10% of the corn in a feedlot diet.
