Wuebker’s host House Speaker Boehner
When House Speaker John Boehner visited the Jeff and Alan Wuebker hog farm in Darke County Ohio it was the Wuebker’s opportunity to talk with the Speaker about issues important to them.
Jeff Wuebker tells Brownfield they talked about everything from PEDv and the impact it’s had in the operation, to the importance of protecting the U.S. from other foreign animal diseases.
“And we told him, we need to support funding for good inspections at our borders,” Wuebker said. “We told him how important that is and when he’s drafting budgets we need to remember that is a critical part for food security in our country.”
The Wuebker farm was just one of several stops the Speaker made during his time back in his Congressional District.
