Wet January impacting Arkansas

Arkansas had a wet start to 2024.

The USDA says monthly precipitation was above average, including a late month round that brought over three inches of rain to most of the state, falling on already saturated ground.

That left some fields underwater and kept farmers busy with other tasks, including hauling grain or tending livestock with calving season underway.

The USDA’s weekly crop progress and condition reports resume in April.
