Weather could mean long harvest season
Brownfield meteorologist Greg Soulje says Corn Belt weather, ranging from too dry to very wet, will result in a long harvest season. Soulje says the heavy rain in Wisconsin means harvest delays, while farmers in dry parts of the Midwest have been combining for more than a week.
In addition to the overabundance of rain in Wisconsin, Soulje says some parts of Iowa have experienced good growing weather, but other parts got an extension of the Missouri drought.
