Weather affects Nebraska corn and soybean harvests

Another week of wet and cool weather slowed Nebraska corn and soybean harvest.

The latest crop progress report says corn harvest is 10 percent behind last year at 82 percent. 

Ninety-five percent of soybeans are in, which is five percent behind last year’s pace.

Winter wheat is rated 55 percent good-to-excellent with 94 percent of the crop emerged.

Eighty-five percent of sorghum has been harvested.

Pasture and range conditions are rated at 17 percent-good-to-excellent.
