Vilsack still feeling optimistic on E15

Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack continues to express optimism that the EPA will increase the ethanol blend rate to 15 percent.

During a tour of a POET ethanol plant in Ohio Tuesday, Vilsack  talked about ethanol’s positive impact on rural economies, national security and the environment.  And Vilsack says there’s room to grow, starting with an increase to E15.  In his words, “I have been advocating for that, will continue to advocate for that, and I believe it will happen.”

Vilsack says he expects the EPA’s decision sometime this fall.
