Vaccinated food & ag workers free from COVID-19 testing

Fully vaccinated food and ag workers are now exempt from the Michigan Health and Human Services Department’s COVID testing order for ag employees.

For the last year, new H-2A, migrant, seasonal, food processing, and greenhouse workers have been required to be routinely screened for COVID-19 and when exposed or presenting symptoms.

The Department says asymptomatic individuals are now exempt if fully vaccinated to align with CDC guidance.

Housing operators along with employers are still required to provide testing regardless of vaccination status in certain conditions and meet additional guidelines as part of the order.
