USSEC in Europe and Ecuador, staying the course

The CEO of the U.S. Soybean Export Council (USSEC) says President Trump saying at the NATO summit he’d be okay with the China deal not being finalized until after the 2020 election does not have an impact on their work.

Brownfield interviewed Jim Sutter who’s in Frankfurt, Germany attending a large conference for European, Middle East and North African (MENA) customers. Sutter tells Brownfield Ag News, “We can’t react to every change along the way. I think we just need to stick with our game plan. I AM confident that when the time is right that our authorities, that the great people we have working on the trade agreement for the U.S. WILL get a deal done.”

Sutter says farmer leaders from several U.S. states are at the European event while a similar event is taking place six-thousand miles away in Ecuador to promote U.S. soybeans.

Sutter says Council’s plan remains growing existing markets and expanding to new markets around the world.
