USDA releases $14 Million for ag animal disease research

The USDA is releasing $14-Million-dollars in grants for agriculture animal disease research.

The National Institute of Food and Agriculture is releasing a-half-million dollars to Iowa State University’s research project looking at a new approach to Vitamin A and Zinc supplementation in cattle to protect against stress and respiratory disease.

Five-hundred-thousand dollars is going to University of Wisconsin researchers looking into novel antimicrobial strategies to fight streptococcus suis in pigs without the use of antibiotics.

The University of Nebraska is getting a grant to study a universal swine influenza vaccine.

South Dakota State University is receiving a NIFA grant for PRRS research.
